I love this song by Kanye West. I heard it on the radio yesterday after not hearing it for a while, so I thought I would post it here.
My vice and vision, a version of verisimilitude...only because when I write I'm in that funky kind of mood

Shoes!
Today I found a shoe sale.
I was on it like white on rice.
I bought three pairs of shoes for a price that was so low it is almost embarrassing.
Check out my buys:
Low boots, perfect to wear with jeans, and comfortable enough to walk around in.
Black patent leather pumps, inspired by my roommate who loves patent leather.
Lastly, black patent leather sandals. So cheap, they were worth the investment months before the summer season.

Girl’s Week Out—The fun and Shopping Continues
This was the week for relaxation.
In my world, that means keeping busy in the best possible ways.
Namely, this week relaxation has included Sushi, Shopping, and Billiards. Not only did I go out for sushi this week, but we made it as home as well. Well, I’m not much of a cook, but my roommate can roll some mean sushi.
In addition to eating, we went shopping all week. H&M, Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret, the best stores Atlanta has to offer. Check out my H&M buys.
Tight black dress, knee length, with leopard belt.
Red shirt that is perfectly suited for salsa dancing with the ruffled sleeves.
Flowy white sparkly sweater with silver strands in the stich.
Bright purple lacy shirt.
Matching waist-length turquoise sweater.

Guess Who's Back
So the last few weeks have been insane. After living like a hard-working monk, being sick for several weeks, turning in my prospectus and making it back to Atlanta, its been time for celebration.
First stop: you guessed it, the nail salon. My roomie and I got manicures and kicked back...heaven.
Next stop: the mall. I got an adorable pair of Calvin Klein Pants, a cardigan sweater with black sequins on the lapel, a purple lacy shirt, and a new little black dress. It's pictured here in pink. But of course I got it in black. I also got a Guess ring pictured below.
After shopping, it was time for celebration. A trip to the sushi bar hit the spot. We topped off the volcano roll with torched spicy salmon, a spicy tuna hand roll, and other delicious sushi with a saki bomb!
Of course, we headed to the pool hall to close out the night. A few shots of Jaeger Meister and some cocktails had me feeling great!
After I got home, I fell into a much needed deep sleep until noon today. Time to return to reality--whatever that might entail!

Bruno Mars Grenade
I keep hearing this song everywhere I go and it makes me think of a certain someone who broke my heart. This one is for you.
What do I Have in Common with Max Weber and Charles Darwin?
Charles Darwin was so sick when he wrote Origin of Species that he mounted wheels on his chair so he could throw up in a spittoon when he was writing.
Max Weber lost his father and suffered so bad from insomnia and nervousness that he had to quit the professoriate. He wrote the Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism while in and out of a sanitarium.
I am sick with the flu, a sore throat, an eye infection and a stomach ache. My prospectus is due in less than a week and it's going to take nothing short of a miracle to finish it on time.

Stereo Love
I've been obsessed with this song for the last few days and needed to share it here. I love the accordion, it is such a unique sound. I'm not even sure what the lyrics are about, because all I can focus on is the background. Right now I think I want to put it on a continuous loop!
Alright, back to work. My prospectus is due in a week, no blogging for me!
