Charles Darwin was so sick when he wrote Origin of Species that he mounted wheels on his chair so he could throw up in a spittoon when he was writing.
Max Weber lost his father and suffered so bad from insomnia and nervousness that he had to quit the professoriate. He wrote the Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism while in and out of a sanitarium.
I am sick with the flu, a sore throat, an eye infection and a stomach ache. My prospectus is due in less than a week and it's going to take nothing short of a miracle to finish it on time.
